Schools perform admission tests for preschoolers (in one form or the other). Some may have pen and paper tasks, while some may have independent or guided activities or a combination of the above. The general idea being to evaluate a child’s readiness for school. At Northstar, we have implemented a rigorous, scientifically validated developmental screening process that goes beyond establishing school readiness. Northstar Developmental Screening Process (NDSP) assists in early and accurate identification children who may have developmental delays or disorders. The importance of NDSP goes beyond establishing school readiness. It establishes first level screening for timely delivery of early intervention services through professional referrals.
